Join the TBA, GLCT and BCET for the 10th anniversary of the Gerald Leigh Memorial Lectures on Wednesday, 3 June 2026.
Not only did the late Gerald Leigh establish himself as a leading International owner breeder from a small but select broodmare band, producing racehorses such as Barathea, Bosra Sham and Gossamer; but his influence has continued to endure through the support of the charitable trust established in his name, which has funded vital educational initiatives and veterinary research projects for the benefit of the thoroughbred industry.
This year, the lectures will focus on pregnancy loss and will explore recent advances in insight, veterinary techniques and stud management practices that may help breeders to reduce the risk. Recognising that pregnancy failure can cause health and welfare concerns for the mare, as well as economic consequences for the stud farm, the presentations will provide clues to optimising reproductive and neonatal health.
This educational event is free to attend, but registration is required, with lunch and refreshments provided. Please accept {{cookieConsents}} cookies to view this content
