TBA members can apply for badges to Royal Ascot

The TBA is delighted to be partnering with Ascot Racecourse, who are offering Queen Anne badges for breeders who have a horse running at the Royal Meeting.

Royal Ascot is part of the UK Government's Events Research Programme (ERP), and breeders will be required to adhere to the below guidelines.

If a horse you have bred is declared to run, please contact [email protected] before the 48 hour declaration period with the your name, the horse's name, your email address and a contact telephone number. After the 48 hour declaration period, you will be contacted if your application has been successful, and will be provided with further details including where to collect your badges from. Please note that your contact details will be shared with Royal Ascot to facilitate this badge offer.

Please note that negative COVID-19 tests are required for attendance. Please see details below.

Please note these badges do not include access to the Parade Ring

As Ascot is a pilot event, you need to be aware that if you have been racing elsewhere this year, the protocols are not the same. Please ensure you read the information below very carefully as you will not be allowed access to the racecourse if any elements are not completed in full.

As Royal Ascot is part of the Events Research Programme (ERP) you MUST complete the following:

1.       Provide consent to attend Royal Ascot as part of the Events Research Programme (ERP) and your contact details for the purposes of NHS Test & Trace.

2.       Provide evidence of a free negative lateral flow test on arrival at Ascot Racecourse (on each day you are attending). You will need to provide a negative Lateral Flow Test result to gain access to the Marquee. These are free and can be picked up from a local Pharmacy or ordered online here. The TBA recommends ordering these now so that you are able to take the test before attending.

3.       Complete two free covid-19 PCR tests; one the day before OR on the day attending Royal Ascot, and one five days after your last day of attendance at Royal Ascot. Note if you are attending more than one day, you do not need to do a PCR test for each visit.
