TBA EDUCATION EVENT: NATURE OR NURTURE? Factors Affecting Foal Development

This year’s TBA’s equine health educational event, named ‘Nature or Nurture?’ will take place on Thursday 17 July 2025 at Granary Barns, Woodditton, near Newmarket from 10.00 a.m. to 4.00 p.m.   

Using the insight and findings from several TBA co-funded veterinary research projects, a panel of distinguished experts will lead a dynamic and thought-provoking all-day event, with discussions around the cutting-edge world of genetic predisposition, epigenetics, environmental influences and management practices, and how these powerful forces shape the health, performance, and potential of tomorrow’s champion racehorses.  

There will be five 45-minute sessions throughout the day, each covering a specific topic, with the opportunity to network over lunch, and a dedicated Q&A session to round off the event. The full schedule, and details of the individual sessions and speakers can be found here.
