The Thoroughbred Breeders’ Association (TBA) is one of the key stakeholders in the horse racing industry, and is the voice of British breeding and the thoroughbred within the sport, with government and on the international stage. The TBA supports breeders with advice, guidance and training for their bloodstock operations and fund vitally important veterinary research for the long term future of horse health. If you would like to get involved, and become a TBA Trustee please read more below on how you can apply.

How to apply
TBA members who wish to put themselves forward as a potential candidate for the Board elections should in the first instance write to the CEO (the form can be found below for this purpose), confirming their request to be considered as a candidate and provide six signatures of support from current TBA members; the signatories can offer their support to only two candidates in any one year.

Candidates also need to supply a head and shoulders photograph of themselves plus a profile which, for those candidates going forward to the election, will be published in the August issue of the Owner Breeder magazine. The election result will be announced at the TBA's Annual General Meeting in October. The Ballot Forms together with the profiles of all candidates will be sent to TBA members at the end of July.

Profiles should be no longer than 200 words in total and be composed under the following three headings: Career/Profession; Breeding/Racing Interests; Profile.

Please ensure that the completed form, together with the six signatures of members’ support, your photo and profile, is returned to the CEO at Stanstead House no later than 9:30am on Friday 30 June, 2023.
