TBA Associate Subscription

As part of the TBA’s commitment to increase access to the industry through education and training, a new membership category was launched in January 2021. The Associate subscription, offering primarily digital services, will include discounted or free access to TBA courses and events, at a cost of £60 per year.

“We hope that a more affordable and streamlined subscription offering will enable enthusiasts, students and industry professionals to join the TBA community, experience the benefits of membership and increase their breeding industry knowledge.”

Following the announcement of changes to the Thoroughbred Club in November 2020, the transition has now come into effect which will see all existing TTC memberships transferred to a new tier of Thoroughbred Breeders’ Association membership.

This TBA wants to increase access to the breeding industry for people of all ages and backgrounds. This includes improving the membership offering and offering ongoing affordable learning opportunities for enthusiasts, students, school leavers and industry professionals. Therefore, the decision was taken to open up membership to a much wider audience under the TBA banner.

This year will see the launch of a new exciting e-learning platform which will offer online courses, webinars and educational materials to support both new and continued learning in the thoroughbred breeding industry.

A new TBA Associate subscription was launched on 1 January 2021 and offers access to the e-learning platform with discounts on courses, alongside some other TBA benefits including events and digital services such as the Owner Breeder magazine.

All existing and new TTC memberships were automatically transferred to this new TBA Associate subscription at no additional cost on the 1 January 2021, as the club will integrate into this new tier of membership.
