Nominees announced for 2026 TBA National Hunt Breeders’ Summer Party and Awards celebration sponsored by Gallagher
The Thoroughbred Breeders’ Association (TBA) is pleased to announce the shortlist of nominees for this year’s TBA NH Breeders’ Summer Party incorporating the annual awards, which will take place on Tuesday 21 July at Poulton Hill Estate near Cirencester.
The event will celebrate the best of British NH breeding from the 2025-26 season and will be hosted by ITV Racing broadcaster, Alice Plunkett. This year’s event will be sponsored by Gallagher for the first time, and the evening will see breeders, owners, trainers and their teams gather for an evening of celebrations, which recognise British NH breeding successes and its people.
Open to all, tickets are £50 and will include refreshments generously sponsored by Goffs, street-style food and the awards ceremony over the course of the evening.
A total of 11 awards will be presented, including the Queen Mother’s Silver Salver, which is awarded by the TBA NH Committee to someone who in their eyes has made an outstanding contribution to British NH racing and breeding. Previous recipients of the prestigious award include Lord Oaksey, Robert Waley-Cohen, David Futter, Nick Luck and most recently Alan Varey.
Simon Cox, TBA Trustee and Chairman of the TBA NH Committee said: “We are delighted to be celebrating the NH Breeders’ Awards under this new format of a summer party which will importantly incorporate the annual awards and bring together the British National Hunt breeding community.
“National Hunt breeders play a fundamental role in the success and sustainability of the sport, and this event is the opportunity to recognise their contribution and achievements across the 2025/26 season.
“We are hugely grateful to Gallagher for their generous title sponsorship, to Goffs for supporting the evening's refreshments, and we look forward to welcoming breeders, owners and all their teams to Poulton Hill Vineyard on 21 July.”
“Once again, there is a very deserving list of nominees for this year's Awards and we are looking forward to listening to some inspiring stories and celebrating the wins – this is their night."
The TBA would like to thank Gallagher, Goffs, Peel Bloodstock, Yorton Farm, Overbury Stud, Batsford Stud, Shade Oak Stud, Mickley Stud, David & Kathleen Holmes, and Eric Gillie Ltd
Tickets are priced at £50 (inc VAT) per person and are available for purchase here.
