Nominees announced for 2025 TBA National Hunt Breeders’ Awards Evening sponsored by Goffs
The TBA are pleased to announce the shortlisted nominees for this year’s TBA NH Breeders’ Awards Evening, which will take place in just under three weeks’ time at the Hilton Garden Inn, Doncaster on Monday 19 May, the evening of the Goffs Spring Store Sale and which is generously sponsored by the sales house.
The event will celebrate the best of British NH breeding from the 2024-25 season and will once again be hosted by leading broadcaster, Nick Luck. Sponsored by Goffs since its inception, the awards will see breeders, owners, trainers and their teams gather for the evening’s celebrations, which celebrates British NH breeding successes.
A total of 12 awards will be presented, including the Queen Mother’s Silver Salver, which is awarded by the TBA NH Committee to someone who in their eyes has made an outstanding contribution to British NH racing and breeding. Previous recipients of the prestigious award include Jim Joel, Lord Oaksey, Robert Waley-Cohen, David Futter, whilst last year’s winner was Nick Luck.
Simon Cox, Chairman of the TBA NH Committee said: “The TBA NH Breeders' Awards Evening is always a well-attended event which rightly celebrates the best of British from the recently concluded British NH season and again we have been rewarded with another quality group of nominees.”
“It is an opportunity for large and small breeders to come together and celebrate their successes and its position immediately following the conclusion of the Goffs Spring Store Sale provides an ideal opportunity for attendees to celebrate their purchases! Our thanks go to Goffs for their continued support of these awards, and I look forward to the evening and meeting with nominees and members alike.”
Tim Kent, Managing Director for Goffs UK commented: “The TBA NH Breeders’ Awards is an integral part of the Spring Sale week and, once again, there is a very worthy list of nominees for this year's NH Breeders' Awards and on behalf of Goffs, we are looking forward to listening to some inspiring stories and celebrating the wins."
Tickets are priced at £75 (inc. VAT) and admission includes a champagne and canape welcome reception, two-course dinner which will be followed by the awards ceremony. Tickets can be purchased by visiting the events page on www.thetba.co.uk.
