New guide to help stud farms build greener and more sustainable environments 

A new online guide to help both stud farms and small holdings become more environmentally sustainable, is now available exclusively in the TBA website’s members’ area.  

Informed by the results of the TBA’s award winning sustainability project in 2021, the guide offers practical advice on changes that can benefit local habitats and environments.  

Environmental consultancy firm Adas and the TBA’s Environmental Sustainability Working Group produced the guide which offers advice on key areas including biodiversity, climate impact, water and soil health.  

The TBA promotes and encourages environmentally sustainable practices in the industry and intends to support members who wish to access the Environmental Land Management Scheme (ELMS) with the relevant tools and guidance.
