For many young people and career switchers, the world of the thoroughbred breeding industry can sound exciting but also a bit unknown. Fortunately, there are several pathways you can follow to earn while you learn, gain practical experience and start building a career in breeding, yard management, stud work and beyond.

The National Stud

The National Stud is one of the most recognised training hubs for the breeding world in the UK. They offer a range of education and apprenticeship pathways including the Level 2 Equine Groom Apprenticeship and the advanced Level 3 workplace programmes. Find out more here.
