2026 TBA Flat Breeders' Awards to be sponsored by Ace Stud
The annual TBA Flat Breeders’ Awards which celebrates British-bred successes from the 2025 Flat racing season will be sponsored by Ace Stud, a new thoroughbred breeding operation in Newmarket owned by Harris Li and wife Rachel.
Currently standing exciting young sire Shaquille, his first crop will be a main feature in the sales ring later this year as yearlings and the dual Gr. 1 winner has covered another quality book of mares in his third season and continues to be well supported by many top breeders as well as Ace Stud’s own strong band of broodmares.
Taking place on Wednesday, 8 July at Chippenham Park on the eve of Newmarket’s July Festival and the July Sale at Tattersalls, the evening will celebrate British-bred successes from the 2025 Flat racing season and will be hosted by Sky Sports Racing presenter, Gina Bryce.
Harris Li, owner of Ace Stud, said: “We are delighted to be sponsoring the annual TBA Flat Breeders’ Awards, which reflects our full commitment to supporting the British breeding sector. Ace Stud is a growing operation with a clear vision for the future, and we are actively looking to build on our foundations, including expanding our stallion roster in the years ahead.
“We are extremely appreciative of the support Shaquille has continued to receive and we are excited to see his first yearlings head to the sales later this year. We would encourage any breeders to get in touch with our team to discuss their mares and look forward to building on the relationships we have established over the past year.”
Breeders, owners, trainers and stud staff will enjoy a champagne reception generously provided by Newsells Park Winery and a two-course dinner with wine sponsored by The National Stud before the awards ceremony.
A total of 13 awards will be presented over the course of the evening, including the prestigious Andrew Devonshire and Dominion Bronze awards along with the TBA Stud Employee Award, sponsored by New England Stud with a £2,000 first prize and a perpetual Charlie Langton Bronze awarded to the winner.
Naomi Mellor, Chief Executive for the TBA said: “We are extremely grateful to Ace Stud for their generous support of these important annual awards and are looking forward to working with their team.
“This is always an important occasion for the British breeding sector and the wider racing industry to come together to acknowledge the achievements of the past Flat season and to recognise the individuals who have made — and continue to make — a significant contribution to British breeding.
“Our thanks also go to all the individual sponsors whose support make the evening possible.”
The TBA would like to thank all the sponsors, including Ace Stud, Newsells Park Winery, The National Stud, Tattersalls, The British EBF, Newmarket Equine Hospital, Cheveley Park Stud, Streets Bloodstock, BBA Shipping and Barton Stud for their generous support of this event.
