2025 TBA Flat Breeders' Awards Evening Tickets On Sale
Tickets are now on sale for this year's TBA Flat Breeders' Awards Evening, which will take place on Wednesday, 9 July at Chippenham Park and will be generously sponsored by Watership Down Stud.
The event which takes place on the eve of Newmarket’s July Festival and the July Sale at Tattersalls, celebrates British-bred successes from the 2024 Flat racing season and will be hosted by Sky Sports Racing presenter, Gina Bryce.
This year’s event will be sponsored for the first time by Lord and Lady Lloyd Webber’s Watership Down Stud who bred Too Darn Hot and was the winner of last year’s Tattersalls Silver Salver awarded to Britain’s leading first-season sire in 2023.
Darn Hot has made an exceptional start to his stallion career having already sired Group 1 winners Hotazhell (GB) (Futurity Trophy), Fallen Angel (GB) (Irish 1000 Guineas/Moyglare Stud Stakes) and in Australia, Broadsiding (Aus) (Golden Rose, JJ Atkins, and Champagne Stakes).
Simon Marsh, general manager of Watership Down Stud, said: “We are delighted to be sponsoring the annual TBA Flat Breeders’ Awards this year. We could not be happier with the way Too Darn Hot has started his stallion career being champion first-season sire in both the UK and Australia.
“We would like to thank all the breeders who have supported him, including those who have sent mares to him this year and we can’t wait to see what his progeny do on the track this season.”
Breeders, owners, trainers, stud staff and enthusiasts will enjoy a champagne reception generously provided by Newsells Park Winery, a two-course dinner with wine sponsored by Chasemore Farm and followed by the awards ceremony.
A total of 13 awards will be presented during the course of the evening, including the prestigious Andrew Devonshire and Dominion Bronze awards along with the TBA Stud Employee Award, sponsored by New England Stud with a £2,000 first prize and a perpetual Charlie Langton Bronze awarded to the winner.
The TBA would like to thank all the sponsors including; Watership Down Stud, Newsells Park Winery, Chasemore Farm, Tattersalls, The British EBF, Blue Diamond Stud, Streets Chartered Accountants, BBA Shipping and Barton Stud for their support of this event.
Tickets are available to purchase via the TBA website’s event page and are priced at £85 per person inc VAT and can be booked by visiting the events page.
