We are excited to announce our Wales & Midlands Regional Day will take place on 24 July courtesy of Culworth Grounds Farm.

Owned by Sophie and Charles Buckley, is nestled in the heart of the Northamptonshire countryside. Purchased by the Buckleys in 2006, it was originally a mixed farm including cereals, sheep and cattle. In the almost 20 years since they purchased the farm, they have developed it to include multiple diversification projects, with the primary focus on the stud.

In 2015, the first three foals were bought to pinhook as yearlings, and the business has grown from there to include a wide range of services including the most recent development which was to stand their first stallion, El Caballo (Havana Gold). With over 150 horses on the stud, the highly dedicated team provides a range of services including boarding broodmares, foaling, yearling preparation, and rehabilitation services.

The day will begin at 10 am with refreshments after which you’ll have an opportunity to view El Caballo, the broodmares, foals, yearlings and experience first-hand the care, dedication, and passion that is considered vital to help these equine athletes be the best they can be in their future career.

There will be a guided tour of the yard and stud; the opportunity to get up close with the yearlings and foals; and to see where the spelling horses have some rest and recovery time.

Following the tour, a relaxed two-course lunch will be served at the Red Lion Pub where members can network with other guests and enjoy the excellent hospitality.
