This Breeder Briefings webinar will take place at 6pm on Monday 19 October, hosted by Naomi Mellor, with speaker Jamie Jackson, Nominations and Sales Manager at the National Stud. This session cuts through the admin side of breeding - the paperwork that's easy to overlook, but essential to get right.
Jamie will cover boarding and breeding forms and why they matter, from the initial booking through to the documents required on arrival, and explain the role vet certificates and testing play from a stud office perspective, including why they're a non-negotiable part of protecting the health of every mare and stallion on the farm. Jamie will also walk through how to approach a stud to book a nomination or board a mare - what to expect at each stage of the process, from first enquiry through to the paperwork required on arrival, and what can cause delays or complications if forms and certificates aren't in order.
Whether you're breeding for the first time or looking to tighten up your own admin process, this session offers a practical, stud-office view of what good preparation looks like.
