Hosted by Naomi Mellor, with speakers Fil de Oliveira, stud vet at Donnington Grove, and Mark Dean, Stallion Manager at Shadwell, on Monday, 7 December at 6pm, this session brings together veterinary and stallion management expertise to help breeders prepare with confidence. 

Fil will cover how to be prepared and ready to respond when foalings don't go to plan and recognising the signs that intervention may be needed, and the steps to take when things deviate from a straightforward delivery. Mark will address the covering side of the season, looking at how to prepare and present your mare for covering, and the different approaches required for a maiden mare versus a mare with a foal at foot, whose needs and handling can differ significantly.
