Claire Sheppard, Chief Executive
Responsible for the running of the management of the TBA charity, its finances and staff. Representing the TBA in political negotiations; providing support and briefings to the Chairman, Deputy Chairman, Board members and Veterinary adviser; Director of the Weatherbys’ General Stud Book Board, Director of the Thoroughbred Owner & Breeder magazine and member of the Editorial Committee; TBA representative on the Horsemen’s Group, British Horse Industry Confederation and EFTBA.
Pauline Stoddart, Personal Assistant to Chief Executive
Administrative support for the Chief Executive. Secretary to the TBA Board, Executive & Finance Committee, Audit Committee, National Hunt Committee and the Bloodstock Taxation Group. Organisation of the Flat and National Hunt Stallion Parades, the Elite Mares’ Scheme and the Annual General Meeting.
Melissa Parris, Office Administrator
Administration support within the TBA office. Assists with TBA events, publications and projects.
Caroline Turnbull, Education & Employment
Provides employer support, and information, advice and guidance on education matters. TBA Representative on the BHA’s vocational training and careers marketing strategy groups. Responsible for organizing the TBA Stud Farming Course and TBA educational seminars.
Joseph de Souza, The Thoroughbred Club Executive
Co-ordinates the TBA’s young persons’ initiative, The Thoroughbred Club. Oversees the club’s membership, events, website and social media.
Christine Standley, Association’s Accounts and Office Manager
Managing office procedures and producing day to day accounts, preparation of the quarterly management accounts for the Association, managing the TBA Payroll and pension administration; administration of the TBA Stud Farming Course; general office duties.
Annette Bell, Membership & Marketing Executive
Managing all areas of membership as well as the Regional Days, Regional Representatives, Membership Benefits and Breeders Prizes.
Charlotte Lovatt, Communications & Marketing Manager
Management of communication platforms that the TBA produces as well as all marketing opportunities and activation. Responsibilities include the sponsorship portfolio, PR, press enquiries and the Annual Awards.
