The Flat Race Committee consists of key industry professionals representing various areas and interests of flat racing. The committee meets on a quarterly basis to discuss topical flat racing issues and more specifically those that affect the bloodstock industry. The committee represents the TBA’s interests in flat racing and works with other advisory groups to influence policy and programming.
In 2014 the committee produced ‘The Stayers Report’ – a detailed study on the challenges that currently face the racing and breeding industry with regards to longer distance horses.
Julian Richmond-Watson is the current Chairman of this working group.
