Roisin Close of Tweenhills Stud

The first bi-monthly Stud Staff Award winner of 2008 is Roisin Close from Tweenhills Farm and Stud. Arriving at Tweenhills eight years ago to look after the stallions and assist with sales preparation, Roisin progressed to the position of Stud Groom a year later. The intervening years have seen the stud develop from a small operation into one of the busiest studs in the UK, and stud owner David Redvers cites Close’s dedication and passion for the welfare of the horses as major contributions to this success. In addition a cool head in a crisis, and exceptional foal care skills make Roisin a most deserving recipient of the January Award.
