Bimonthly Stud Staff Awards

2008 Stud Staff Award Scheme

The Thoroughbred Breeders’ Association is delighted to be able to provide funding for bi-monthly Stud Staff Awards, and has pleasure in providing a certificate and £100 cash prize to each winner.

The Awards were created by the TBA and are co-ordinated by Regional Chairman/Council Member, Derek Christopher, to reward the staff working ‘behind the scenes’ for all the hard work that is necessary in order to run a successful breeding operation.

The Award Scheme is open to all – whether your stud is large or small, public or private.

The Scheme was first introduced in May 2003 and since then we have had numerous well deserved Award Winners. Most recently, these have included Roisin Close from Tweenhills Stud, Terry Albone from Wretham Stud and Debbie Wise from Green’s Park Stud.

At the end of the year, one person will be selected from the six bi-monthly 2008 Award Winners to receive a special Award which will be presented to them at the TBA Annual Awards Dinner held on 6th January 2009 – this Annual Award has been kindly sponsored by New England Stud. The selection for this Award will take place during December when all bi-monthly winners will be contacted accordingly. The 2007 Annual Stud Staff Award Winner was Terry Albone, Stud Groom at Wretham Stud.

Nomination forms are available from Stanstead House or can be completed online or downloaded and returned it to Stanstead House, together with a written/typed explanation of why you have nominated this person.
