TBA/AHT Stud Farming Course, 11th to 13th December

This annual course was held on Tuesday, 11th to Thursday, 13th December in Newmarket.

Throughout the three days delegates listened to talks on such topics as ‘The management of the barren mare for optimal fertility’ from Sidney Ricketts, ‘Non-Infectious causes of abortion’ from Katherine Whitwell, ‘Breeding and sales preparation’ from Fiona Marner, ‘The normal neonatal foal, management and fostering of the orphan’ from Sarah Stoneham and ‘The assessment and farriery treatment of deformities in foals’ from Simon Curtis. They also visited Rossdales Equine Hospital, Banstead Manor Stud and the Animal Health Trust, as well as attenidng a course dinner at the Bedford Lodge.
