Regional Days

THE EAST
Thursday 23rd May – Visit to Roger Varian’s Kremlin House, Darley’s Pre-training yard followed by Rossdales.

SCOTLAND
Tuesday 4th June – A visit to Linda Perratt’s Northallerton Farm, East Kilbride.

SOUTH EAST
Wednesday 5th June – Visit to Marcus Tregoning at Whistbury Manor followed by a tour of Whitsbury Manor Stud, with a chance to see Foxwedge and Showcasing.

THE WEST
Tuesday 11th June – A visit to Willie Carson’s Minster Stud, Barnsley, Cirencester, followed by lunch and a trip to Stratford Place Stud, Coln Rogers, Cheltenham.

WALES & WEST MIDLANDS
Monday 1st July - A visit to David Hodge’s Llety Farms, home to stallions Debussy, Sayif and Stimulation.  Optional evening racing at Ffos Las.

SOUTH WEST
Monday 8th July – Visit to the historic training facilities at Manton, Marlborough, home to Brian Meehan.

OPEN
Wednesday 11th September - A visit to the old Royal Studs at Hampton Court and a tour of Hampton Court Palace

THE NORTH
Wednesday 18th September - A visit to Richard Ford's Lancashire Racing Stables, Garstang, follwed by Oakhill Veterinary Centre, Goosnargh and then lunch with a guest speaker.

Regional meetings are open to all Members, irrespective of their locality.  However, priority will be given to those Members residing within the Region, should the day be over-subscribed.  Application forms for the Regional day in your Area will automatically be sent to you. Members are invited to apply for application forms for those days outside of their Region. Please contact Carrie at Stanstead House for more information on the Regional Day carrie@thetba.co.uk. Please note that this is only a basic outline of the events and in some cases certain activities may be subject to alteration.  Applying for an application form does not commit you and you will not automatically be guaranteed a place on that day.

GERMANY: Peace At Last wins as British troop disappoint

SIX British-trained runners lined up at Cologne for the German 2,000 Guineas, a race dominated by the Brits this century, but it was the lone French runner Peace At Last (Henri-Alex Pantall/Fabrice Veron) who ran out the winner at odds of almost 30-1.
